Please help Poppy fight FIP!
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
I cannot believe I am having to type this out and I am in complete tears.
My name is Julianne Carlile. I have a 14 month old Lykoi named Poppy who is undergoing a trial treatment for FIP while we wait for some test results to come in.
As of 3/4/23, Poppy’s bloodwork is all over the place and there is something going on with her liver and her spleen. My vet aspirated samples of both organs and they are being sent out to test for FIP (along with her blood). I will have the actual results from them all in a few days.
I am currently treating my 13 month old Lykoi, Olive, for FIP as well (confirmed in January through an aspirated sample performed on her lymph nodes). Olive is currently on Day 60/84 of injections and is doing very well. All of her levels have returned to normal and I am hopeful that she will be moving into observation at the end of the 84 days of injections.
Because FIP treatment is considered experimental treatment, it is not covered under the pet insurance that I have for Poppy.
Please help me save Poppy. She means everything to me. I am truly living an absolute nightmare. Lightning has stuck me possibly 3 separate times now with FIP and my cats and I am completely and utterly shell-shocked and traumatized.
But, we will beat this. There is no other option. My girls are fighters and so am I.
Thank you, as always, for your consideration and your kindness.
