Help Rebecca Fight Cancer

Donation protected
Hello everyone! My name is Noelle, and I’m a friend of Rebecca Asher and her family.

From her son, Nathan:
”My mother was diagnosed with stage 2 pancreatic cancer when she went to the hospital for what she only thought was pneumonia. While treating the pneumonia they had done scans which showed a mass growing off of her pancreas. After a biopsy they determined it was cancerous and then plans for chemo and pain management regiments were brought into discussion. The tumor growing out of her pancreas is pushing into a nerve going up her back causing horrific amounts of pain. The hospital decided to do a nerve block to ease the pain while they did another biopsy of the tumor. Later did we find out they ONLY did the biopsy and not the nerve block. She has been battling horrific amounts of pain, chemo sickness, and opioid dependency to make it through her day even moderately. After another scan they found that the cancer has spread from her pancreas to her liver. After said news the option for surgery to remove the original cancer was thrown out and currently she has two different kinds of chemotherapy to battle the cancer spreading through her body. At the beginning of her journey she weighed 138 pounds, she is now down to 98 pounds at the latest weigh in”

As of right now (11/29/23), she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and was given two years to live.

More from Nathan:
“Throughout my whole life my mom has always been a pinnacle of hard work, determination, and love. I don’t know who I would be today if I didn’t have her growing up. She taught me to be patient and to give my all to something if it’s worth doing. She enjoys the little things in life and to be happy even in times of distress. I love my mom so much not just for taking care of me growing up but simply because she is a person deserving of love. I don’t know of another person who through all she has gone through in her life is still able to hold her composure and worry about others. She has a strength in a way that I will never be able to achieve. I love my mom and my goal is to see her smile everyday she has left because she deserves to be happy. She deserves to smile and experience all of her wildest dreams because she’s earned it through years of hard work and abuse. I don’t know how I can ever hope to become even half of the parent she is but I have the perfect role model to learn from”

Although Rebecca was given two years to live, she’s going to keep fighting and attending chemo treatments in the meantime.

Unfortunately due to circumstances, Nathan is the sole provider for him and his mother.

That is why I’m kindly asking you if you could help contribute to paying their bills, and providing a quality life for Rebecca and her family, before she passes.

We appreciate any contribution you are willing to make, and they send their thank you in advanced.
