Help my family evacuate from Gaza
Spende geschützt
Welcome,
Hello dear supporters,
My name is Jaser, a Palestinian from Gaza currently living and studying in Germany. I write to you in a time of urgent need.
My family is trapped amidst chaos and destruction. Our home has been lost to relentless bombings, leaving us with dwindling hope. In the image below, you can see the ruins of our once four-story house.
I refuse to succumb to despair. That's why I'm reaching out to you for help. I want to share the story of my brother Ahmed and the rest of my family, who desperately need assistance. They need shelter, food, and medical care. Moreover, they require assistance to leave the war zone safely, which costs at least around $5000 per person.
Here's a glimpse into our lives:
My brother Ahmed is a blogger, content creator, and first-year university student. We used to live in a cozy house in north Gaza, full of dreams and aspirations.
Unfortunately, we lost everything in the bombings. In the picture below, my niece Lamar is seen with Ahmed's YouTube play button
My family consists of my parents, four brothers, and four sisters. We used to live in a multi-storey building with my two brothers, Ayed and Mohammed, along with their children and wives. But now, all of us are displaced, without shelter and lacking the basic necessities of life. We are living a miserable existence, suffering from the lack of food, water, electricity, medicine, and all essential needs.
In the picture below, my brother Ahmed and my nephew are seen cooking food on firewood, a scene from our current life.
In the picture below, you can see my sister Maram's daughters, who are living in harsh conditions without any provider, as my sister lost her job next to the house due to the ongoing war, leaving her with no source of income to support herself and her daughters.
My elder brother "Ayed", who had to stay in northern Gaza and did not evacuate with us to Rafah, remained there with his wife and their three children: Ahmed, 11 years old, Amir, 10 years old, and Marwan, 6 years old.
As you are well aware, northern Gaza suffers from famine and a strict blockade, where my brother's family is enduring indescribable conditions. All of his children have previously contracted hepatitis due to the spread of diseases and bacteria caused by the accumulation of decaying bodies and garbage that have not been collected since the beginning of the war, and the lack of personal hygiene due to the absence of water.
Furthermore, my brother and his entire family have lost a significant amount of weight due to the scarcity of food, forcing them to eat animal fodder, which young children's stomachs cannot digest properly.
Our present and future are fraught with danger. Despite my initial hesitations about creating this fundraising link, the escalating danger and my intense fear for my family compelled me to seek help through this method after exhausting all other options. We've tried every means to escape and save ourselves, but unfortunately, all efforts have failed.
The decision to reach out for support through this link arose from the high costs associated with traveling and the cessation of our financial income over the past seven months due to the ongoing war. Most of our sources of income have ceased.
Our home has been completely destroyed beyond recognition, and we have lost loved ones and many possessions in this War. We've remained patient, hoping to return and rebuild what was lost. However, the war persists, and even if it were to end, extensive time would be needed to restore what was damaged. Thus, we have no choice but to attempt to leave the Gaza Strip to rebuild our lives and continue our studies, with the intention of returning if peace is restored to the area.
In this picture below, you can see our house after the bombing. My brother Ayed, who stayed in the north, is also visible amidst the rubble of our home.
Even our piece of land, our last property, has been bombed and turned into sand.
No money in the world can return our memories, but it could keep our lives.
In the picture below, my nieces and nephews are shown on our land, which, unfortunately, was completely razed and destroyed.
All of these children haven't slept a single night without facing nightmares, as the sound of bombs draws closer with every passing hour.
My family and siblings are not numbers. They have childhood dreams, and dreams of raising their children in safety just like the rest of the children of the world.
I hope you understand our situation and refrain from blaming us; the harm inflicted upon us is severe. With your support, we can find safety.
Your donation, no matter how small, will have a huge impact and contribute to reuniting my family in a safe environment. The funds raised will be used transparently and efficiently to ensure every dollar goes towards securing their evacuation.
Please share this campaign with your friends, family and colleagues to help us reach our goal and bring my family to safety. Your support means everything to me, and I am so grateful for any help you can provide during this difficult time.
Thank you for your understanding and potential assistance.
