Please help Rigo Sr.'s wife and daughters
Donation protected
Hi my name is Tim Ancira, I’m starting this GoFundMe account for the dear family of one of our own. Rigoberto Tovilla Sr. has passed away and he was most recently a part of our CalPro Construction and Painting family, for approximately the last 2 years. The situation was unexpected, and has left the extended family with the responsibility of helping his wife and two young daughters. He was only 62.
I was asked by Rigo Sr. If I could in some way help his family, and I gladly have taken on this task! I felt honored that he would have the ability to ask this of me. I will be contributing, but would like to ask that you would also consider helping the family! It will bless you to bless them! Please give what you can!
A little bit about Rigoberto Tovilla Sr. — Rigo was a blessing to the industry, he was a fountain of knowledge and experience. It was of no surprise that he was a successful business owner prior to coming on board for a number of years, until he had a battle with cancer that he survived some years ago. He was a integral part of our estimating team and part of the family here at CalPro!
He was also a loving dad! He wasn’t perfect just like none of us are, but he was loved, admired, respected, and will be missed by his entire family. He loved spending time with his two youngest and wife in Lake Tahoe (that’s where the cover photo was taken). They would visit on single day excursions. They would take hikes, visit the lake, or simply drive through and admire the scenery. He would always comment very proudly that he had a total of six children though, the pride came from the fact the they all came from the same woman! He was married for 42 years, to his lovely bride Rocio. He had taken it upon his shoulders to allow her to not have to work for the entirety of their marriage so that she could raise all their kids. He was, as he said in his own words, “very old-school”. He was traditional in the best sense of the term! Rocio has for the last 12 years homeschooled her children, and they are becoming amazing young ladies. Vanessa wants to be a doctor, she is graduating from high school this upcoming graduation season. Pam wants to be a teacher, a business owner in cosmetology, or a book editor, but isn’t sure yet, she still has time to figure that out. The rest of his kids are doing well. Some took after Rigo and have huge families! They are all a loving bunch and will do everything in their strength to help their mom out. This fundraiser will not solve their monetary current needs, it’s not supposed to, it’s to give them some breathing room to mourn, figure things out; to allow them some time to set themselves up to help their mom.
Rigo Sr. was a family man, but many others also knew him as a man of faith. His eldest son Rigo Jr. Would describe him like this: “My dad was a lot of things to us and specifically to me, he was my mentor, my teacher, my boss, my business adviser, he was also my hero, my friend, my pastor, my counselor, my father, and my dad. Yes there is a difference. He was loving, intelligent, funny, Faith-full, devoted, and also serious, firm, brave, blunt, and strong. He played all sorts of instruments, sketched, had beautiful penmanship, read exhaustively, and constantly studied, mostly scripture! He excelled at everything he did even if it took a few tries. His biggest accomplishment was that he was a man of God, a man of great faith in God, his Lord Jesus Christ, whom he honored and glorified to the end. He showed this especially at the end, he went home to be with the Lord confessing Christ, pointing us to Christ and His gospel, and praying that we would never depart from sound doctrine. He was asked by one of my brothers if he was at all afraid, his response was ‘Afraid of what? I’m going to be with my Lord soon!’. He was a man of character and integrity. He has set the bar extremely high for the rest of us left behind for now. I know my brothers, sisters, mom, and extended family and friends would express the same or similar descriptions of dad…”
Rigo Sr. will be survived by his wife, 6 children, 15 grandchildren, and his mother of 84 years old & a sister. Please keep them all in your prayers which they covet more than anything else.
