My name is Renata and I come here today with a heavy heart to share with you a devastating situation in my home state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. You might have seen the news or maybe you have no idea, but the reality is far worse than what words or images can describe.

Right now, over 320 cities in Rio Grande do Sul are facing extreme flooding. Hundreds of communities are underwater, and there are still people waiting on their rooftops to be rescued. In just the past couple of days, we've lost over a hundred people, with many more missing and countless others injured.

It's devastating. My own family and friends who are living this nightmare said it looks like a war zone.
