Please help Savannah Kuhl with Medical Expenses
Donation protected
Savannah was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at age 11; over the past 20 years, it's taken a toll on her body. On January 30, 2019, Savannah was diagnosed with Stage 4 Kidney Failure. In August 2020, Savannah was accepted onto transplant waiting lists in Boston and Albany. She has undergone many tests and procedures over the past few months to ensure her body is healthy enough for surgery. Savannah's kidneys currently function at 18%; this means she is in need of a transplant or will be on dialysis soon. She is hoping for a simultaneous transplant, which means she'll recieve a kidney and pancreas at the same time. This is a major surgery and life changing event for her and her family. Savannah recently found out she could be called to Massachusetts General Hospital any day for a transplant. Even with insurance, her portion of the transplant is extremely expensive, not including travel expenses and anti rejection medication which she will need to be on for the rest of her life. Savannah will have atleast a week long stay in the hospital and then will recover at an out-patient facility. Savannah and Walter have an 11 year old daughter, Peyton, who will be cared for by friends and family while her and her fiancé will be gone. With this surgery comes many financial burdens to Savannah and her family. They are currently 7 hours away from the hospital and will have to make numerous trips, including overnight stays when needed.
We are asking if anyone is able to donate anything to help this family out it is greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for all the prayers and support! ❤️
