Please Help Save Cartman The Bulldog's Life

Hi, my name is Johnny, half of @bulldogskater, and I am fundraising to help save my beloved Cartman The Bulldog’s life.

Here’s our story:

Cartman was born on July 30, 2011, and has been an amazing NYC skateboarding bulldog since April 2013.

In March 2013, he found an old abandoned skateboard in Central Park and immediately fell in love with skateboarding. After about a month of daily playing with his new favorite toy, he became a self-taught natural skater boy!

Every time we went out for a walk, he would insist on bringing his skateboard along so he can shred. He could skate all day long and would never get tired of it. I would have to constantly run by his side just to keep up with him!

From early 2013 to late 2018, he was skateboarding strong…kicking and pushing all by himself. Towards the end of 2018, I noticed he was slowing down, but still very much wanted to skateboard as often as he could. So I began to use a leash connected to a harness on him to pull him while he stood on his skateboard.

This brought so much joy to him and he would love it every time I took him out for “walks” on his skateboard. He would bark at me to go faster, so I decided to buy an electric skateboard for myself and tow him while he stands on his skateboard. He LOVES this!

We would go out all day and he simply could not get enough. We went out so much that every time the battery on the electric skateboard died, I would have to manually kick and push my electric skateboard. This eventually led me to learn how to skateboard to tow my beloved Cartman, so he could live his best life.

Cartman taught himself to skateboard and then years later taught me to skateboard.

We went skateboarding together almost every day from 2019 to present day 2021.

Friday, July 16, 2021, he wants to go skateboarding, but simply cannot do it. This has never happened before. Every time he sees his skateboard, he goes crazy. But on this very day, he starts off trying to skateboard, but decides to give up.

I immediately knew something was wrong and took him to the vet.

After the doctor performed some tests, I was informed that Cartman has pneumonia and kidney issues and needs to stay in the hospital overnight if he wants to have a fighting chance to live. He has been admitted since Friday night.

I am raising funds to help save his life.

This is time sensitive as he is fighting for his life everyday.

Cartman means the world to me and I haven’t slept since he has been admitted.
