Please help save Elizabeth "Liz" Park

Hi! This was written by a friend that I've known for over 50 years:

Elizabeth "Liz" Park never expected to need a Go Fund Me page. She also never expected to be diagnosed with the debilitating incurable disease of Scleroderma. She spent most of her life in NYC and now lives in Florida. Until the age of 10 she grew up in Cryders Point (Queens, NY), where at eight years old, she lost her baby sister, Lara. But despite this tragic loss, she grew up to be a survivor, as well as a kind and generous person who has spent much of her life helping other people and rescuing animals in need. Now she needs our help.

Scleroderma is a disease for which there is no cure. Elizabeth has Diffuse Systemic Sclerosis, which is the WORST kind of scleroderma you can have, as it affects everything. It cause severe Raynaud's disease which creates open wounds on her hands, finger tips, and feet; calcium deposits which break through her skin like glass; and esophageal problems and thickening. Worst of all, she has interstitial lung disease, which essentially turns your lungs into stone, and she is currently at 40% lung capacity. She has been told she is not going to live a long life.

Elizabeth has pretty much suffered in silence since her diagnosis, because she is not comfortable asking for help. Because she has a severe auto-immune disease, her Covid vaccines did not create any of the necessary antibodies to fight the disease. So for the past few years, she has pretty much had to live like the girl in the plastic bubble. Because she is disabled, she has been unable to work. Her disability was approved in June of 2021, but her monthly disability check is close to nothing. She has gone through all of her savings, she is being evicted this week, and if she doesn't get help, she will be homeless.

Please consider donating to Elizabeths Go Fund Me. Every little bit will help. At the very least, it will help put a roof over her head, which will make her short life more bearable. Because she now has an eviction on her record, she will need at least 6 months rent in advance in order to even approach a landlord. She needs $25,000 immediately.
