Please HELP save KARMA

Karma is my best friend.

I raised her since 8 weeks - she is now almost 12 years old.
Until 3 days ago I thought she was the happiest Doberman to have ever existed. Suddenly she stopped drinking and eating hours later began breathing laboriously and retching, and then collapsing. In short time we had her in emergency care, fluids being removed from her lungs and around her heart. We are still awaiting to hear from specialists as to what the causation is. For now we agree to every test and comfort and possible tactic that may help her. And with every yes that changes our life financially for the worst I break down inside a little more knowing at some point we will have to say "No....no we can't....afford that". And then my best friend will die.

My wife and I have done our best to survive through this pandemic like everyone else. We live in Toronto and both work in the restaurant industry (which means we are currently unemployed). In truth she made considerably better money than I ever have, and in turn has spent all of her savings to keep our girl alive.

If it was not for her, Karma wouldn't have made it this far because I simply would not be able to afford keeping her alive. But she loves her too. Tears streaming down her face she told me "We have to do whatever it takes, I can work everyday". That made be "a bit" upset - and so here I am. One avenue amongst many I thought I'd never use for any benefit. But I need help. We need help. Above all my girl Karma needs help. 

All funds will be to cover Karma's medical expenses. The amount posted ($6,586.00) has been partially covered but is expected to greatly increase (All bills will be posted and updated). Writing this would usually tear at my ego but I only think of my scared friend waiting to come home to her family (due to covid we can not visit or see her) and I have no problem telling you, asking you, begging you - please help save Karma.
I would like to thank anyone who makes a donation personally (by phone if possible) so you can truly hear how grateful I am for any help. If you live in the Toronto area and would like to meet Karma & her healthy sister Mercy it can definitely be arranged. She still has much more time. She just needs a chance - a chance we may not be able to provide without aide.

If you read this in passing or are unable to make a donation (which is absolutely fine, the most I can donate now is hope and condolence ) I only ask you completely appreciate the smallest and most mere moments with the people/animals/things you love.  My one real comfort and understanding of Karma's life thus far has been - she was told she was loved every morning and night, kissed a hundred times between, and absolutely knew she IS a good dog. 

I really don't want to lose her. Not yet.
