Please Help Support Princess’s Final Expenses

Hi there, my name is Jackson Yost, and I have 3 dogs. Princess is the oldest of them and she was rescued by my mom who passed away in 2021. She’s all I have left of her and I’m not ready to let go. When I called my dad after getting out of a short dentist appointment to see if he wanted some lunch, he told me that she and my other dog had gotten into a fight. I was confused as I had told him to put my other dog in his outdoor kennel as soon as I had left the house because I had a bad feeling.

When I got home, Princess had marks on her entire body and Staar had some blood on his head. I rushed her to a local vet who referred me to Denver Animal Emergency as they have the equipment and expertise to treat her wounds there. Unfortunately, they have fought once before, leading to a previous vet visit that left $100 on my credit cards. I was able to save up enough to cover the $400 deposit for Princess's care but was told by the vet that the $1100 estimate for care may not be all that has to be done if there is more major damage to her body. I hate begging for money because I know I should be able to take care of my family, and I’m ashamed to even make this fundraiser, but any help for my baby girl who is all I have left of my mama would really help me not stress as much.

If any of this self-pity has convinced you to help my girl for her sake and not for mine, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I don’t have much, but my dogs are my soul and I can’t lose them. Please.

UPDATE: Princess’s wounds were too severe for the doctor to treat without an incredibly severe decline in her quality of life. It would have been cruel for me to keep her alive in the state she was in with skin tissue dying and infection all but guaranteed. I am updating this gofundme to reflect the cost of her medical bill that includes her cremation so she can be beside my mama like she always was. The total vet bill was $1,449, of which I was able to personally afford $400, leaving the total needed roughly the same. Thank you to the kind souls who care about my girl and I.
