HELP SAVE VERMONT GIFT BARN!

Since 1997, Vermont Gift Barn has offered a space showcasing local artists and others from New England and beyond. We are now facing an uncertain future and are asking for your help.

Like many businesses, we were hit hard during the pandemic and forced to close down with no way to generate income. This resulted in us having to part ways with our 14-person Vermont Gift Barn family, some who had been with us since the beginning. This was heartbreaking. I was unable to secure an EIDL Covid-19 pandemic loan, and I used all of my savings to pay the rent, property taxes, and utilities to keep the business going. Those expenses didn't just go away even though we were prohibited from operating the store. Once we were allowed to reopen, we restructured with one part-time employee at 16 hours per week, my wife, and myself. Sales and store traffic never recovered, nor did the magic.

With your help, we could once again have a gifted and creative Gift Barn family of employees to bring back to life our spectacular displays, the wonderful atmosphere of the store, and our one-of-a-kind customer service experience.

We are a lifeline to many local artists as we display large quantities of their work. This represents a substantial percentage of their yearly income, and many of these artists depend on us. I am asking for your support to help keep Vermont Gift Barn alive and our artists thriving.

The funds raised will go directly towards hiring a new Vermont Gift Barn family of employees, replenishing the inventory of our local artisans, and paying our back rent.
