Please help Scott and Mara

My dearest friend Mara Wehye and her boyfriend Scott Ogle are facing tough times right now. A few months ago Scott began experiencing severe right shoulder pain. Doctors thought he might have a tendon issue or a tear somewhere. He began going to a chiropractor to try to alleviate some of the pain. Nothing seemed to be working so the chiropractor did a CT scan of his shoulders.

Through the scan, they found a Pancoast tumor in his lung. This is a rare form lung cancer. The tumor is currently the size of 2 golf balls! As the tumor grows, it can invade surrounding nerves, muscles, lymph nodes, connective tissue, upper ribs, and upper vertebrae. This causes severe pain in the shoulder and arm.

The doctors and specialists have began to aggressively treat Scott through Chemotherapy and Radiation. He is having treatments 5 days per week. He has a very long road ahead of him including surgery after Chemo and Radiation.

Scott isn’t able to work due to the severe pain and the treatments he is undergoing. The money raised will go towards his medical bills, transportation to his treatments, and to cover household expenses due to his lost wages.
