Shelly would never dream of asking anyone for help...(anyone who knows her can attest to that )
As her dear friend and biggest fan , I'm here to ask anyone who can to donate to her medical care and show Shelly how much love and support she has.
Shelly discovered a large breast tumor and was diagnosed with breast cancer over 3 years ago. She made a bold decision to try to find a way to heal and eliminate the cancer without choosing Radiation or Chemotherapy. Shelly worked tirelessly on her health here in B.C. and spent thousands on treatments, tests , therapies and nutrition not covered by MSP. For two years she did great , markers went down and tumor was smaller, MRI results were good. Unfortunately the mass began to grow and the cancer came back she has also developed some infections and immune deficiencies that require treatment and surgery not available in Canada.
Shelly is now in Tijuana, Mexico at Baja Medgate cancer clinic for the past 3 months now getting incredible specialized care and recovering from surgery she had July 23rd in hospital there. She will be there for another 2-4 weeks to complete treatment and after care from the surgery. She is on the home stretch and this will be her final push to eliminate the cancer for good! However the expenses are high and I really want her to be able to choose the best treatment without factoring in cost. Any support in any amount or form would greatly impact her on so many levels !
With the cost of the clinic treatments, tests ,MRI's and now surgery, travel , and accommodations as well as over two months off work for her and her spouse Ben. I want to raise 20,000 to help relieve just some of the financial stress this life changing diagnosis has put on her and hopefully at least cover the surgery cost . Let's get Shelly on the path to recovery:)
