Please help Slims family get through some tough times

My name is Troy. I've been behind the scenes of Baliwaves since I met Slim in 1999 we built Baliwaves.com

I'm sure by now you have heard that JB (also known as Slim on Baliwaves) has been fighting a battle with cancer, and unfortunately he has received the news his cancer is terminal and that he won't be winning this round. And unfortunately has very little time left. He is comfortable and surrounded by his family.

His family, wife Ni Komang Ayu Wartini, son I Wayan Raymond Bristow and daughter Ni Made Amanda Bristow, have recently arrived in Australia to spend some time with him. We are starting this Gofundme for Slims family to support them through this challenging time they have ahead of them. Everything raised will be going to Ayu so Slim has peace of mind that they will be provided for while they re-find their feet in his absence.

Slim's sole concern in this world is the fear that his wife and children will be left to struggle on their own, with no means to finish their education or even put a roof over their heads. The thought of his family going hungry, cold, and desperate for basic necessities like rent, clothes, and bills keeps him up at night, gnawing at his soul. He can't shake the worry that their future is at stake, and it consumes him with every waking moment.

Slim moved to Bali in 1996 with 3 grand in his pocket, he bought an outboard motor and a motorbike and he made his own way. Hundreds if not thousands of surfers passing through Bali have been welcomed by Slim and his family and scored countless waves and enjoyed his family's hospitality.

Slim has a dream that Baliwaves.com will continue to operate and help sustain and support his family with the continued amazing support from Ketut and by training Ray up into helping to run things. I'll continue to be in the background as always.
