Please help Southlakes Incorporated stock their shelves

Hi, my name is Rosmairi Dawson and I am creating this Go Fund Me campaign to assist my dear friend, Christine Mastello, with her lifes purpose to help those in need. As winter continues to deepen into cold days and nights, there are many people out there who need services, food and help to get through each day.

That is why Christine established Southlakes Incoporated way back in 2013. As a single mother of three children, she knew there were many who were doing it tough. That's how Christine came up with the idea to use her background in social work and her own money, to help others out.

Christine set up Southlakes Incoprorated so that people could come in and take what they needed from some stores of food that she was putting together and day after day, more and more visitors turned up.

One day, a mother came in quite distressed that it was school photos the next day and that her boys would not be getting theirs taken. She couldn't afford to have their hair done and didn't want them reminded of how poor they were by not having their hair cut for the school photos. Christine realised that there were so many areas people need assistance and sought to find a hairdresser to volunteer in the future. this is the inception of the Community Hair Project, now available through several services in NSW.

In the first six months of 2024, Southlakes Incoprorated have provided 6,250 free meals, 3,800 free haircuts, 4,100 people have been assisted with free food hampers. Their have been 2 Indigenous Hair workshops, 2 Colungra Bay Cafe's. More than 300 Domestic Violence families have been helped with brand new clothing packs. There are 2 walk in food banks at Cooranbong and Lake Munmorah with a third opened in Gulargambone recently.

Southlakes Incoporated needs our help to keep the food and and hair services coming for the needy.

Come Christmas there will be a huge surge of need again.
