Please help Steven Fisher fight Bladder Cancer

Hello, my name is Steve M. Fisher and the man pictured above is my Dad and best friend, Steven B. Fisher. He was recently diagnosed with High Grade, Stage 2 (possibly 3, we are waiting on further test results) bladder cancer and I am fundraising to help him with the costs of his upcoming treatments and surgery.

A mass was detected in his bladder after a recent doctor visit. A biopsy was ordered and performed out of precaution and, even though it wasn't the expected result, it came back as a very aggressive type of cancer. The cancer has already broken thru the interior lining and gotten into the muscle. Luckily, it hasn't made it any further, however, a scan that was done on his torso the other day revealed two nodules in his lower left lung. He is awaiting a biopsy on these and we are praying that these will turn out to be scar tissue or something from a previous sickness. Regardless, he is scheduled to get his port for chemo put in on Thursday, March 16th and he is on track to start chemo the following week. The chemo is going to be intense and will destroy the muscle in his bladder causing the need to remove it approximately 6 weeks after the chemo treatments end.

My Dad is a great man who has always been first in line to help anyone and everyone he can and never asked for anything in return. He is a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, and member of his community. The road to recovery is going to be a struggle but we do not doubt that he is going to make it thru all of this and be back to playing pool and going camping as he loves to do.

Being retired, this was obviously not an expense my Dad was planning on. My family is doing everything we can to help him thru this but, sometimes we all need a little boost.
