As many of you already know, we are mourning the sudden passing of Mackenzie. Beloved Wife, Sister, Daughter and Friend to many.
My brother Frank is absolutely devastated by the loss of his wife and best friend. No passage is ever easy, but it's even more difficult when it is sudden and unexpected. He lost his world in the blink of an eye and we are all doing our best to help lift him up as much as can be given the circumstances, but there will be a long road of heartache ahead of him.
As some of you know, my brother has recently embarked on a new career path that, unfortunately, at this time, does not provide him with any insurance or benefits and he and Mackenzie recently poured most of their savings into much needed renovations to their home. If you have organized a funeral recently, then you can understand the staggering costs involved. From funeral home services, flights, lost time from work as well as the cost of relocating Mackenzie's possessions that were stored in Ontario back to Alberta. As well, Frank would like to honor Mackenzie's wishes to have her ashes casted on the East and West Coast as she fell in love with the ocean on her travels. This financial burden can be intensely difficult on top of trying to pull the pieces together after the loss of a loved one.
If you know Frank, you know he is a stand-up guy that loves his friends and family with every ounce of his DNA and has gone above and beyond to help everyone in the past and to make sure his friends feel loved and safe. I'm hoping that some of you can return a bit of that love in the form of a donation. Any little bit helps and if we all bond together we can make this nightmare a little easier for my brother. I understand times are hard for everyone, so if you cannot donate, can you please take a moment to share this on your socials.
I can't say Thank You enough to everyone who has reached out to Frank and the rest of the family. It means that world to all of us. XOXO
