update 11/25/24 3PM
Quick update on my Dad, he has the PICC line in. Infectious Disease Doctor was in this morning and gave us the diagnosis of the infection that’s in his brain. It’s called Klebsiella. It’s a very serious infection. He remains in the hospital for the time being. Then he will have to stay in Denver in a hotel until Infectious Disease Doctor releases him to come home to Pennsylvania and continue iv treatment here. We have no idea how long that will be. Thank you for the continued prayers and support.

Update 11/21/24 7PM
We received news a couple hours ago that they do in fact have to put a picc line in because the infection was too bad not to. This is not the news we wanted to hear. This means that he could possibly be in Denver for 6-12 more weeks. That’s a long time for them to be living out of a hospital and hotel room. He is waiting for the doctor to come see him and I will update again. Thank you all for your continued prayers and support.

Update 11/21/24 1PM
Update on my dad, he had another surgery yesterday on his head due to a bad infection underneath the bone. They are awaiting what type of infection it is so they can treat him with the right antibiotics. He has a drain tube in (which I thought was a picc line, my mistake, sorry to anyone I told that to) but we are praying he doesn’t have to have a picc line. The surgeon says it depends on the type of infection.

He is getting some much needed rest today. He will hopefully be able to leave the hospital within a few days but he will have to remain in a hotel in Denver for a minimum of two weeks.

Thank you to everyone who has donated, prayed and called/text. Your kindness and generosity means so much. And a huge thanks to our good friend and neighbor, Sunshine Spaulding for going out to bring my mom and dad home and then staying by there side during this time. Please keep praying for healing so he can come home soon. ❤️

I would also like to add that my dad hasn’t had a single seizure since his first surgery on October16th. That’s great news! It means it’s worked so far. Unfortunately this infection and second surgery is a huge setback in his recovery.

I am writing to you today with a heavy heart as my father faces a new, challenging and unexpected journey to recovery after his recent left sided craniotomy for anterior temporal lobectomy. As many of you know, he has always been the rock of our family—offering unwavering love, guidance, and support to everyone around him. Now, he needs our help.

The surgery, intended to improve his quality of life, has unfortunately resulted in some unforeseen complications. These unexpected challenges have left him struggling not just physically, but also emotionally. He has always been an active and vibrant person, and seeing him go through this difficult time is heart-wrenching for all of us.

The road to recovery will be long and uncertain, requiring ongoing medical care, rehabilitation and travel expenses to and from appointments in Denver, CO. As you can imagine, the financial burden of medical expenses is rapidly accumulating. We are asking for your support to help alleviate some of this strain, so we can focus on what truly matters—ensuring my father receives the best care possible and has the support he needs to heal.

Any contribution, no matter how small, will go a long way in helping cover his medical bills, travel expenses, rehabilitation costs, and essential therapies. If you are unable to donate at this time, sharing this campaign within your network would mean the world to us and could significantly impact my father’s healing journey.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for your continued love and support. We are grateful for each and every one of you during this difficult time, and we remain hopeful for my father's recovery.

With heartfelt appreciation,
