Please help support John Briggs

UPDATE: this support has been overwhelmingly amazing and we cannot thank each of you enough. It is with tear ridden eyes that I post this heartbreaking update. After John bravely completed every test imaginable while on maximum life support to proceed with his double lung transplant, his body decided this fight could no longer continue. On the earliest hours of November 4th, John closed his eyes for the final time with his wife at his side. We all know in that very instant he was embraced with the warmness of our mighty God and take comfort in knowing he is free of his fight. We are all devastated and are trying to navigate through these tough days ahead. I have decided to keep this fundraiser open for a few more weeks in hopes that we can use this money for a celebration of John’s life and to honor his final wishes. I have created this GoFundMe to help offset medical and travel costs in support of John Briggs and his family while we wait (and pray) for a life-saving double lung transplant. Those of you who know John, know that he is a hard-working, fun-loving man, who wouldn’t have accepted this help easily. John has had a progressive lung disease over the last year and a half of uncertain origin. On October 10th, John went into respiratory distress syndrome and was intubated and placed on life support. He remains on life support and has been moved to Columbus, Ohio which is 2 hours from his hometown. I created this in hopes that our loving community of family and friends could come together and help ease the financial burden of traveling, food, medical bills, and housing during this time. And if you cannot donate, we would equally appreciate prayers and thoughts as we move forward through this difficult process.
