On Saturday, February 25th during dinner time, Evan suffered multiple seizures and was transported to hospital. Evan was placed in a medically induced coma and put on life support to mitigate further seizure activity and brain swelling. A CT Head scan revealed a mass in Evan’s brain which was the cause of the seizures. He was transferred to ICU to be monitored closely and put on seizure medications. A neurosurgeon delivered the news to Emily that Evan will need surgery to remove the mass and treatments may follow depending on the prognosis.

Since then, Evan was taken out of the induced coma with Emily by his side and she had relayed to Evan what is happening. As of the time of writing this, Evan and Emily are expecting MRI and bone scan results tomorrow (March 1st) and then will determine next steps with their doctors and surgeons. Once we receive more information, we will provide updates on this page.

Everyone that has met Evan knows he would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. We are asking friends, family and the community if you could provide any support for the unforeseen financial burdens they may endure over this journey. This would include medical expenses and any other financial stress they may encounter.
