Okay, so just an update guys…
Firstly, WOW!!! Thank you all so much for all your generosity and support for Klarissa and the kids. You guys are all so amazing and I can definitely tell you that she is so overwhelmed by what we have all been able to achieve in such a short time (she had no idea that we were doing this for her!). This is helping in so many ways to take the pressure off her and allowing her to have some time to process everything that has happened.
Secondly, even though we have reached the target amount that I originally set of 10k, we don’t need to stop here. We can continue to donate above and beyond this. All donations will continue to take the pressure off Klarissa, such as any other unforeseen expenses that arise during this time and at least in the short-term to make sure her and kids are looked after the way Phill would have wanted them to be.
Thirdly, Go Fund Me has been in contact with me and told me that they require me to add more information to my page and answer some questions that they have in relation to who I am and why I started this fundraiser. The only reason why I haven’t spoken about myself and who I am as yet, is because I never wanted this to be about me. I just wanted to start something that we could all be involved in.
But as requested…my name is Andrea, and my partner Jayden and I live just 5 mins around the corner from where Phill and Klarissa’s house is in Goomboorian. Jayden and I met Phill (or as we endearingly call him ‘Filthy’) back in 2003, when we all lived back in Rainbow Beach for a number of years. On several occasions, Phill even lived with us during this time. We also met both of Phill’s Parents, Bill & Deb as well as his older brother Johno at around this same time. We have remained close friends of Phill’s family over these years, as well as to date. We met Klarissa (officially) during 2011 when they lived in Yeppoon. She was pregnant with their first child, Riley.
We have remained in close contact with Klarissa every day since we all received the devastating news of Phill. I finally disclosed our little secret to her a couple of days ago and explained to her what every one of you have achieved in raising these funds for her little family. She is now completely aware of how much we have raised and in the coming days, we will be arranging with her, the disbursement of the funds directly into her bank account.
We really can't thank all of you guys enough xx

On the night of Friday February 25, Phillip Sugg was travelling home from work at Nolans Meats. Tragically he never made it home to his family that night.

On the night of Friday February 25, Phillip Sugg was travelling home from work at Nolans Meats. Tragically he never made it home to his family that night.
He was swept away in flood waters not far from his home in Goomboorian.
Phill, a very proud and devoting partner and father, leaves behind his loving fiancé Klarissa and three beautiful children – Riley 10, Hazel 8 and Arthur, almost 2.
We would like to get together to support his beautiful little family in these really difficult times and raise money to help with funeral costs and other expenses.
