Please help support Robert Hunt and Family

My Uncle Bob and his family are struggling and need help. The following is written by my Dad (his brother) as he was able to give better details of the current situation.

Bob Hunt is hurting and needs our help.

Some of my earliest memories are of my older brother, Bob Hunt. Bob has been helping people for as long as I an remember. As a 16 old he was a camp counselor for disabled children. As as 18 year old, he was a camp counselor for underprivileged children. Then he became a schoolteacher and spent countless hours helping young people. At 22, he received his black belt in karate. He specialized in helping you people achieve confidence and stamina.

I can go on and on citing the help Bob as provided to so many people. Now he needs our help. He has been hospitalized for more than three months, with no end in sight. He has a litany of potentials lethal problems- leukemia, rheumatoid arthritis, a gastric infection, kidney trouble requiring dialysis and possible the most debilitating of them all transverse myelitis. Transverse myelitis is a spinal infection that has caused Bob to lose the use of his body from the waist down. This has rendered him a paraplegic. They do not yet know if it is recoverable.

You can only imagine the the hospital bills are staggering.

Bob is not a wealthy man. At 75, he still works full time and is the sole breadwinner for the family. I should say that he was the sole breadwinner. For the last three months he has not been able to function. Finances are hitting the family very hard. The money is gone, nothing is coming in.

Please help Bob and his family. Be as generous as you can. Let's show Bob the love and support that he has given to so many others throughout his life. He won't be able to thanks you right away. He has a feeding tube down his nose to provide nutrition and an IV in his neck to provide medicine.

At this point the doctors are still hopeful that he will make a recovery. His life, however, will never be the same.
