Please help support Rufus and Kay Thompson after their loss

Rufus Thompson and his mother, Ubonrat (Kay), tragically lost their beloved father and husband, Tony, on May 15, 2024, after he suffered a stroke. Tony was the family’s rock and primary financial provider, and his sudden death has left a hole in their hearts and in the fabric of their lives.

At only 17 years old, Rufus has valiantly stepped up to assist his mother, whose native language is Thai, in navigating the medical, financial, and legal aspects of this new reality without Tony. Many of us who have kids that are friends with or are current or former teammates of Rufus know of his integrity, admirable work ethic, and kindness.

Please join me in supporting Rufus and Kay with their immediate financial needs of covering funeral bills, home mortgage, car payments, healthcare costs, and other day to day expenses to give them time to stay in their current home while they plan for their next steps before Rufus goes into his senior year of high school. With college goals in his future, any extra funds will be used to help pay for Rufus’s living expenses and his education in the coming years.
