Please help support Ryder's Bone Marrow Transplant Journey

Donation protected
I'm starting this campaign for my dear friend Cynthia and her incredible family, whose strength and resilience continue to inspire everyone who knows them. As their friend, I've witnessed their unwavering spirit through every challenge, and now I'm asking our community to rally behind them once again.

Our Journey Continues: Help Ry Beat the Odds

Life has a way of testing our strength, and once again, the Sheffer family faces another mountain to climb. Their brave little warrior Ry is about to begin his bone marrow transplant journey, following in the footsteps of his brother Cruz, who went through his own transplant battle not once but twice in the past three years .This time, the path ahead is even more challenging. Ry's treatment plan requires an exceptionally intensive approach – stronger chemotherapy, more powerful anti-rejection medications, and a longer isolation period than what they experienced with Cruz. It's not just another medical procedure; it's a fight for Ry's future.

Here's what the next few months look like for their family:
Just before Easter, Ry will have his feeding tube placed. The week after, he begins his transplant journey. They're looking at 35-45 days in the hospital. Following that, they need to stay within minutes of the hospital for three months of critical follow-up care.

As a mother, Cynthia's heart-wrenching decision to separate their family wasn't easy. She'll be taking extended leave from work to stay with Ry throughout his treatment, while Cruz remains home with his grandmother to maintain some normalcy in his life. This separation, though necessary, adds another layer of emotional and financial challenge to their journey. This family has been blessed with an incredible community that carried them through Cruz's treatment. Now, they're humbly asking for your support once again.

Every donation, no matter the size, will help cover:
Medical expenses not covered by insurance, Living expenses during Cynthia's unpaid leave from work, Travel and accommodation costs near the hospital, and care expenses for Cruz back home.

They say it takes a village, and our village has shown up time and time again. Your support – whether through donations, prayers, or simply sharing their story – means everything to them. Together, we can give Ry the fighting chance he deserves.

Thank you for being part of their journey and helping us write the next chapter of Ry's story.

With gratitude,
Jillian
