Please help support Terri Metcalf!

For those of you who know my mother Terri Metcalf it’s no secret for her undeniable love for all living creatures. From her family, friends, coworkers, pets, her little Happy Critters farm animals, and even her plants. She always puts others before herself and is one of the most humble, hard working, kind people I know. (and i'm not just saying that because she's my mom). What many of you may not know is my mom was diagnosed in early 2017 with an irreversible progressive  lung disease (and she’s never smoked a day in her life!) that has led to several health issues and complications throughout the past 5 years. She has currently been in the hospital since May 26th because her right lung collapsed and has undergone several procedures including a very invasive lung surgery Tuesday June 21st. We are uncertain at this moment when she may be able to go home.

That being said, through all of this she has persevered through her health issues, several losses including a house fire and the unexpected death of her husband; all while maintaining a full time job. Not to mention maintaining her small farm, being a 4-H leader, attending state wide fairs where she has competed in several areas of showmanship with goats, donkeys, chickens, ducks, and most might recall her devotion to her sheep. She in my eyes is superwoman! I share this because as you can see my mother is someone who is a very active member of various communities and activities and it is emotionally difficult for her to be so stagnant and dependent on others right now. I know she is a survivor and I know with the love and support of others together we will help her overcome this.

As you know stress is not something that is good for anyone especially someone who is trying to heal. The financial difficulties because of her situation has started to add up; due to her illness and covid restrictions over this past year she is out of sick/vacation time, it's unclear when she will be able to return to work. Trying to maintain a household and meet financial obligations with little to no income is starting to take its effect. It would make a world of difference to our family for those who can contribute in any way, whether it be sharing this page or leaving a loving comment, as I know times are difficult for all.

We want to try and take some burdens off her shoulders and give her the stability and support she needs to recover. My goal is for us to be able to maintain her home and little farm (which we are in the process of downsizing) so that she will be able to return home without having to be in such financial hardship . I appreciate all who take the time to read this, share this, and contribute in any way possible.
