Please help support Tessa
My lovely friend and colleague Tessa is a highly respected member of the midwifery team at our local hospital working in the hospital and community. The women and families she has cared for for nearly 20 years think the world of her as we all do too. In March of last year she moved home and that evening had what she thought was a migraine, she went to bed and when woke found she felt worse. After several visits to the GP Tessa was referred to the hospital for further investigation. Following a CT scan Tessa was found to have had a cerebral haemorrhage (stroke) she was sent urgently to Southampton general hospital for treatment and investigation. Tessa was seen again September (6 months later) when she had an angiogram and a diagnosis of artiovenous malformation which would require surgery. In January or this year Tessa underwent major surgery to remove this by craniotomy and excision, the surgery seemed to go well. Tessa has been recuperating at home and was hoping life would return to ‘normal’ and she would be able to come back to the work she loves as a full time member of the maternity team. Just before her return to work, on the 25 May Tessa had a massive seizure at home finding her airlifted to Southampton. Tessa has been left unable to work and not even sure if she can return to the career she has been passionate about for almost 20 years Not only has Tessa got the stress of her health and well-being she also has the addition of financial stress as her salary has been cut to 50%. It would be fabulous if we can raise some funds to help alleviate any financial pressures for Tessa to ensure that she can concentrate on her health and get back to her glamorous self. Thank you so much for your help ❤️❤️❤️
