Please help support the family of a special young man, Michael Hearns, through truly difficult times!
Please help us. Help an exceptionally incredible individual, an extra ordinary special kid who has been forced to fight for his life…..not once, not twice but through three separate forms of cancer.
This bright, intelligent, uplifting young man has had to endure a long, difficult, challenging and often times, brutal battle with three different types of cancers. Now just 21 years old, over the last six years, Mike has stood strong through multiple chemotherapy treatments, infusions and blood transfusions. He has fought hard through intense radiation treatments only to find out he would have to endure more chemo!
Unfortunately, Mike’s most recent cancer has blown through the chemo treatments and Mike has been told there is nothing else that they can do for him. His pain, uncomfortableness and suffering have become heartbreaking.
Mike is one of those stand-out-in-the-crowd type of people – so outgoing, fun loving with an absolutely outstanding sense of humor – a simply pleasant personality. He is extremely adventurous, naturally athletic, quick witted, smart alec and genuinely gifted with multiple talents! Mike is an amazingly talented guitar player/musician, an all-star football player, an outstanding skateboarder, a very talented little artist, a seriously skilled fisherman, an avid and well-educated outdoorsman, a kind hearted, caring, compassionate kid who would drop what he was doing at a moment’s notice to help someone in need – anytime!! Most of all, Mike is that kid that lights up the room and is always the life of the party! Mikey is an absolutely incredible individual, an unlimited source of energy and talent, somebody just SO much more than special. We have been more than privileged, more than blessed to have a person of such character in our family. We consider ourselves more than lucky, but truly privileged to be his family. He has filled our lives with pride, laughter and meaning all his life and we love him for it!
Cancer is a cowardly killer. Ruthless, merciless, horrifying, cruel and an unnatural adversary…..an EVIL enemy.
Mikey has fought so hard, for so long and has rarely ever complained…..a fierce fighter…..a true trooper…..A HERO! Michael has brought splendor and wonder into our lives, given us laughter and true happiness day after day. We are beyond heartbroken.
Unexpectedly, the hardship of transportation back and forth from Milford to Boston, the weeks of chemo when we had to stay in the city, the meals, additional medications, gas, parking, etc. time after time. Trying to make sure Michael has everything he needs, and anything he wants, has left our family depleted. Depleted emotionally, physically, mentally and financially.
If you are able to, please help support Michael and his family through the end of their horrifying nightmare and with all of Mikey’s end of life expenses.
