Mt Royal Inn - Help Keep The Tradition Alive

Donation protected
The journey of what we know the MRI-aka The Mt Royal Inn began in early 2017.

It was made public that the Mt Royal Inn was being sold to a developer to turn it into a liquor store, and the tavern was to be shuttered.

That was until Byron Driscoll made the commitment to keep the Mt Royal Inn alive.  Defying all odds, having never worked in or owned a bar/restaurant, said"I can't let that happen", "too many memories and too much history fill this place".

6 months later on August 9th, Byron with the help of everyone's favorite Uncle Joe saved the MRI from closure.

Since then, 2.5 years later, along with the new friends, friendships, relationships, the MRI has gone through a renaissance like no other.

Byron consistently gives back to the community he serves.  From first responders, local hospitals, local schools, people in need, sports teams, fire and police charities, The Witches of East Greenwich, The Wicked Warriors, Ronald McDonald House, Rolling Badges, Shriners, Wounded Warrior, Toys for Tots, Armed Forces Charities, and many more.   He does this while working another full time job, supporting his family, and sitting on the Board of Directors for The Diabetes Foundation of NJ.  If you know Byron, he has never spent a holiday at home with his family since owning the bar.  He provides free meals every holiday to anyone that comes in or has no place to go.

Regardless of your political position, the current era of political correctness, bipartisan bickering, Byron and the Mt Royal Inn now need our help.

If you have every enjoyed yourself here, or yet to become a friend, please donate to help the mounting legal fees required to defend the Mt Royal Inn from closure.

Every dollar donated will go to the defense of Mt Royal Inn, and any excess will be donated back to charity for those fighting COVID 19 and the defense of our Civil Liberties.

About the Mt Royal Inn:
Established in 1762, the historic tavern served as a field hospital during the revolutionary war, served as a army barracks during the civil war, and was and continues to be a place where all people are welcomed.

The bar has withstood the true test of time,  and with your help....

The Tradition Continues.
