I remember the day I first blended my own batch of unrefined shea butter in my kitchen, inspired by one simple idea: to create something natural, ethical and beneficial for people.

What began as a personal passion grew into Sheabutter Cottage — an ethical business rooted in fair trade, sustainability and community empowerment.

Every jar I made was filled with intention, knowing it represented hard work, dignity and hope.

But these last few years have been the most difficult I’ve ever faced. There were moments when I didn’t know if Sheabutter Cottage would survive. Financial pressures, supply disruptions and rising costs stretched us to our limits. Yet, I held on - because I believe too deeply in the mission to give up.

Today, I’m asking for your help - not just to keep Sheabutter Cottage alive, but to give it a fresh start.

Sheabutter Cottage is more than a business; it’s a labour of love, committed to ethical sourcing and sustainable living.

For years, I’ve worked hand in hand with farmers and cooperatives including the incredible women of Jilima Coop, who carefully produce the unrefined shea butter in our products.

These relationships are based on trust, fair trade and shared values. Together, we’ve made a real difference- ensuring fair wages and sustainable livelihoods for those who need it most.

However, to continue this journey, Sheabutter Cottage needs a new beginning. Your support will help us rebuild and move forward.
