Please Help Tami Along Her Healing Journey

Hello family, friends & loved ones,

On February 23rd, our lovely mom, Tami, was taken to the Richland Hospital where she was found to have a dissecting aorta. She was rushed to UW Health in Madison and immediately taken into surgery Friday evening. After a long 11 hour life saving surgery, she was admitted into the cardiothoracic ICU where she is currently being monitored. She's had some good days and some bad days, however, she is getting stronger each day. While we have faith that she will recover, she still has a very long road to recovery ahead of her. She will be required to work with physical therapy, occupational therapy, and she will likely need to have 2 weeks of home health after being discharged from the hospital. We know that she has so many friends and family members that love and care for her and have been wondering how they can help. While we know times are hard for everyone these days, we're expecting to receive quite a few medical bills considering her extensive emergency surgery, 2 week stay in the ICU along with home health and various therapy services in the upcoming months. While the situation is less than ideal, we are so eternally grateful for the amount of support, encouragement, well wishes and prayers we have received over the past couple of weeks.
