Please help Team Harley - Abused German Shepherd

Donation protected
Hi
I’m Harley - can you help me heal my damaged body and mend my broken heart?
I’m a very handsome (well I think I am) three year old German Shepherd who has only known neglect and abuse.
I don’t have a family of my own, so a lovely lady who heard about me is helping me. Apparently, I have my own team advocating for me. I’m not sure what that means, but I hope it’s good.
I was bought by a family when I was a puppy who I thought would love me, but in fact they terrified and abused me. Whilst I have a big heart, I’m quite a small boy and as I grew my family’s teenage daughter used to ride me. Even though she weighed more than me, she would drag me and then try and ride me as if I was a pony and when my little legs buckled under her weight, she would still stay on top me. This really hurt me, but no-one would help me, and this happened to me nearly every day.
My family moved overseas and left me with another family. They were nice, but didn’t know much about dogs like me or that I was sore, in pain and scared in case one of them hurt me.
They moved me again and that lady was frightened of me. I was sore and scared and so I didn’t really want anyone near me. She contacted rescues to help me, but none of them could help a German Shepherd like me.
I was left in the pool yard as I didn’t want anyone near me, she fed me and was kind to me but couldn’t keep me. I heard hear say something about the pound, but that didn’t sound very good to me – especially the words “put to sleep” – they seemed very scary to a dog like me.
Then someone came to see me and she didn’t seem scared of me. She said she would help me and then I met my trainer and behavioural therapist Karen and a vet who came out to assess me. The vet looked at my left leg and said I needed something for my pain and also to help my anxiety. I left with my trainer who is assessing me, but to be true and fair to me there were more tests to see what happened to me and the injuries that have been caused to me. I’ve had xrays and blood tests, but the damage from the riding of me was difficult to see so now it’s an MRI scan for me.
So here is how you can help me. I need you to help me find a carer who will understand me and also help me pay for the scans that I so desperately need. I promise that I will share all the updates on me, but now I need you to contribute the price of a coffee to help me.
If you can please can you give to my Go Fund Me and help me find out what injuries have been done to me.
Thank you
Love
Harley

Harley is currently working with a trainer to help with his anxiety and to identify his triggers. In order to be fair to Harley the vets have advised that he needs MRI imaging to be carried out by a Specialist to identify the injuries that have caused by him be ridden by a teenager. We do not know what the prognosis will be, but there have already been improvements in his behaviour and his comfort levels by having him on a pain medication plan under the supervision of his veterinary team.
Harley needs to have an MRI scan and/or other imaging carried out by a specialist and then may require surgery to repair the damage done to his body.
Whilst there are many dogs needing help with rescue due to his behavioural and medical needs it has not been possible to find a rescue to help Harley.
Please can you help with his veterinary costs which have already exceeded $1500 and have been privately funded by me so that we can give Harley every possible chance to recover both physically and emotionally
