Terri Sclater’s journey to recovery
Donation protected
On Friday November 18th we received the heartbreaking news that Terri had suffered a stroke at the young age of 50!! Terri was rushed to the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, and shortly after to the Royal University in Saskatoon to find out the stroke she had suffered was determined to be massive. In the days to follow Terri received multiple surgeries to remove a blood clot which had formed in her brain causing the stroke, further to that a lifesaving surgery was required due to the swelling of her brain. Terri has a long road ahead of her in her rehabilitation, but we know Terri has a nature of being strong willed and a fighter.
We know we are blessed that Kevin was home from work when Terri suffered the stroke as the outcome may have been significantly different, which is also why Kevin has made the decision to leave their home in Big River and working up north to be with Terri each day. Kevin is there to be with Terri during the fight of her life and support her through the long journey of bringing her back home where she can once again enjoy her life, home, and family. This journey will be challenging and long, but we know with her strength, the power of her family support, some prayers and healing vibes sent her way she will be healthy and strong once again.
Kevin has established a residence in Saskatoon to be by Terri each day, and to also have their immediate family close by which does come with the addition of financial strain. We are hoping to pull together and help Kevin with these costs as we do know he will not be returning home or work in the near future. Please keep Terri, Kevin, and their family in your thoughts to give them strength each day.
On behalf of their family, we sincerely thank you!
