Please help Terry get a travel scooter & crutches

I swore that I would never do this, but for the first time I am asking for some help from my friends and family.  I have been given the chance to travel with a friend this coming year to see a bit of our country.  I have never had the opportunity to travel much, having only been to Florida and St. Louis.  I am so excited about the opportunity to see some other places before I get too old to get around.  My problem is I need a small scooter that I can ride whenever it is too far to walk.  Unfortunately because of my disability I have gotten to the point I can't get around like I used to and end up falling a lot.  I could really use a small one in my apartment if the truth were to be told.  The problem is Medicare has made it very difficult to get a scooter these days.   They told me at one store if I can walk in under my own power, then Medicare won't pay for a scooter. If by some miracle I did get approved, I would have to pay for it upfront and get reimbursed later.  

I am trying to raise as much money as I can to get a small scooter I can carry in my trunk and a new set of crutches.  I realize this is a difficult time for so many and I feel bad for even asking, but if you have a few extra dollars you could help me with, I will be eternally grateful to you and be your friend for life.  Well, I will be your friend for life anyway if you just consider it.
