Please help the Abreu family in time of need

Daniella is the daughter of Nelson and Luz Abreu. They have been our neighbors in Martin's Crossing for the last 15+ years. Our kids were all very young when we moved in and we have been blessed to see their 2 beautiful children grow up with our own.

Daniella has a dog named Blu. In mid August, she was walking her dog and he lunged for a rabbit in the backyard and she pulled back on the leash and it snapped and hit her in the eye. She was taken by ambulance to the hospital and it was discovered that she had a broken eye socket and damage to her optic nerve, the pupil and a detached retina. She has been to numerous doctors and specialists. She has undergone multiple surgeries on her eye and has more to come in the future. She is now blind in her eye but we hope that with the new technological advances in medical science that someday with the help of stem cells that she has hope to regain some vision in her eye. She has a long road ahead of her to recovery.

The emotional and financial impact is heavy for this beautiful family.

If you know them, you love them. They are a most generous family, volunteering every week at Christ Fellowship. Any of them would literally give you the shirt off their back if you needed it.
