Please help the Aho family’s battle with cancer

Donation protected
Tammy is one of the most selfless, loving kind hearted people that I am blessed to have met at St Mary Magdalene Catholic Preschool. She has been at the school for 15 years and is the Reading teacher. She has touched the lives of countless children and families throughout her time there. Our entire staff family adores her and hate to see her family struggling with the hardships that cancer brings. We are praying and ask you all to pray too but also feel the call to do something more! Tammy and Bryan have two beautiful children Kiara 24 and Zach 18. Unfortunately their insurance limits them to where he can go for treatment and other consultations. They have to stay in SC and have to stay in network so other options she would like to take they can’t afford. All donations will go towards their Extensive medical bills and will be. Greatly appreciated!
Here is his story
In January, Tammy’s husband Bryan went to the doctor after suffering for months with painful swallowing and weight loss. An endoscopy showed a large cancerous mass in the lower third of his esophagus. A biopsy of the mass determined it was Stage 3 invasive adenocarcinoma. Radiation and chemotherapy were given for 3 months with the goal to shrink the cancer and then perform surgery. The doctors were confident that a cure was possible. After 3 long months of chemo and radiation it was time for the esophagectomy. An esophagectomy was done during which the lower esophagus and upper stomach were removed. (the rest of the stomach was then pulled up and attached to the rest of the esophagus. )The surgeons also removed 35 surrounding lymph nodes. Surgery went well and Bryan was on the road to recovery. Exactly 1 month after surgery Bryan started have excruciating pain in his stomach and back. After a CT scan and MRI it was determined that the cancer was back and was now in the liver and spine along with the left and right spinal muscles.
The doctors were surprised that the cancer came back so fast and have begun chemo and radiation again.
Tammy and her family are doing everything they can to care for him and make him as comfortable as possible. Please keep them in your prayers
