Please help Livia and the whole Brimmer Family

Hi, My name is Melissa, and I'm fundraising for a selfless family that currently needs the help they would typically give to others.

 

Livia was born prematurely at 28 weeks. She has been a little fighter from the start, suffering from a stroke in utero and contracting meningitis in the NICU. Livia had heart repair surgery in the NICU that nearly took her life. She has very poor vision and is being treated for epilepsy among other issues. Livia has a shunt for hydrocephalus as well. She is truly a miracle baby.

 

In the last few months, Livia has had multiple seizures as a result of shunt malfunctions and everyday cold viruses that have led to multiple ambulance rides and even a helicopter ride. She has also had gastrointestinal issues that have landed her in the hospital.

 

Last weekend, Livia needed two surgeries in three days to repair her shunt. She is currently in the hospital awaiting surgery on her skull that will hopefully relieve the pressure on her shunt. While she is in the hospital, her older sister Clara-Rose is at home. Livia's mom will be unable to return to work for the remainder of the school year due to staying with Livia. 

 

While FMLA will be able to supplement most of her income. there are and will be many copays for Livia's care, tanks of gas to get back and forth to the hospital and the cost of getting food for themselves while they are in the hospital, and trying to keep Clara-Rose feeling loved and busy while her mom and sister are not at home with her. Please consider helping this family that would give anything to help others in the same position.
