Brigitt Couch, daughter of Sue Couch (pictured), sister to Jenny, mother to Camryn (pictured), Chris and Nick , passed away on Sunday, May 21, after a long, difficult battle with addiction. The children's father passed away 5 years ago.
Brigitt's family has been overwhelmed with her ups and downs over the last several years, but remained prayerful and hopeful that Brigitt would prevail and become steadfast in her recovery. Tragically devastated, Sue, her family and the kids truly need our help.
Sue has a long road ahead in dealing with her own grief - the emotional pain of losing a child (regardless of age or circumstance) is beyond what most of us can even begin to imagine. Sue also has a big job ahead in guiding and comforting Brigitt's children through their own grief process and helping them find a more peaceful and accepting place in their hearts.
We hope to raise enough funds to help cover some of their funeral expenses. It would be truly amazing if we could raise enough to assist with some of the ongoing care for Brigitt's children and help Sue save for the family's future needs and education.
As many of you know, Sue is a sweet, kind person and a wonderfully devoted grandmother. She and Camryn been active members of the Pilgrim Lutheran Church community and volunteers for the prayer ministry, care ministry and the Sunday School program to name a few.
Please donate what you can and please keep Sue, Jenny, Camryn, Chris, and Nick in your prayers.
