UPDATE!!!! This is to address the hurtful gossip that’s being spread about this young family of 7. 1st - They DO NOT have enough money from this GoFundMe or any other source, to buy a house!!!

2nd - They have 2 vehicles that are broke down. One is being repaired out of the kindness of someone’s heart. The other, they still can’t afford to repair yet.

3rd - This family has just started working with a first time buyers program that helps restore/build credit and save for a down payment for a home.

4th - We know where the gossip came from and we will be praying for them on several levels.

5 - We still believe, or want to believe that most people are kind and loving. We are just in shock that the witchcraft of gossip still exist among Christian people and this family is devastated that it has struck them down when they were already rock bottom.

6 - Please note that only a percentage of the funds raised here, will actually go to the family. GoFundMe will take a percentage as part of their funding.

UPDATE**11/7/23 - It’s been 5 days since this terrible disaster. This family feels like it’s been ages since they all woke up under the same roof. The price of rent is so unbelievably high and frankly, unfair! Most don’t realize the struggle for those who aren’t homeowners but even more, how blessed we all are to have the comforts of home right now. If you’ve been on the fence about donating, please remember that no gift is too small in times like these. Please, help us put this family back together, this holiday season! Families should never be separated like this. Thank you and God Bless you all for your prayers!!

This morning, 11/2/23, my niece and nephew, Candace and Dustin Curlee, left their rental home to take the kids to school and to go to work. Sometime after they left, their house caught fire and they lost nearly every worldly possession. They have 5 beautiful, thriving children and no one was hurt. For that we are beyond thankful and blessed! But, now comes the moments of fear and confusion. The “what will we do” and “where will we go” questions are unbearable on them right now. The community has asked how they can help and so many have reached out to us. I’m starting this GoFundMe in the hopes that we can have them on a home before the Holidays where they can start over and continue to raise their beautiful family and make many more memories.
