Please help the Ely Family

Hello, My name is Melissa Ely, I am sitting here thinking about how to or what to write to explain our tragic story. There are no words to describe the pain me, my children and family are going through. So here it goes, My husband, Kurtis Ely-Thacker was the kindest, most purest real soul you would ever come in contact with! He would help out anyone! Even picking up hitch hikers. He was always looking out for others. He loved anything outdoors and spending time with his family! He loved Me unconditionally and never fell short on showing me that every single day! We were married for a little over 8 years. We had our up and downs but we loved each other unconditionally and never left each others side. We were best friends! He was a great daddy! Our children ment the world to him… but just like some, mental illness robbed me and my family like a thief in the night. Kurt passed away May 26, 2023. Leaving behind 6 children, loving sisters, awesome bother and so many friends and other family. Now we all are trying to learn to live with out him. It has been very difficult to adjust and still doesnt seem real. This has thrown our whole life upside down. Kurt didnt have life insurance. So, going through all of this is rough enough and now having the expense of funeral costs is just another reminder of he will never be walking back into the door with loving arms. I’m currently taking off work for a bit longer. To try to figure everything out for us and to prepare for what comes next as a single momma.
