Please Help the Family of Andrew Eyerman
Donation protected
Andrew's Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) has returned. He was first diagnosed January of 2016 at 14 months old. Then had 4.5 years of daily chemotherapy, in and out of the hospital. He then relapsed a year later in July 2020. He was in the hospital for multiple months getting very strong chemotherapy and then received a stem cell transplant December 22, 2020. He relapsed again November 2021.
The treatment plan going forward includes a therapy called CAR-T. He will get a central line placed in his chest. He will then have cells collected through apheresis and sent to Seattle to have them engineered to fight the leukemia cells. He then will have to go through two intense rounds of chemotherapy before the cells are placed back into the body. He will be staying at the hospital during this time. He may also need another bone marrow transplant after this therapy.
I am asking for donations for their family since it is costly to have a child living in the hospital for months. Andrew has two older siblings that are still in school and need to be supported as well. Most of the time, parents cannot work full time since someone needs to stay with Andrew, causing a decrease in household income. There are medical bills that pour in until the high deductible amounts are met. The parent staying at the hospital tends to pay more for food there. It all adds up. If you could help out this amazing family, that would be great! They have already been through so much and have a difficult road ahead. Amber and Fred have a lot to worry about. Money should not have to be one of them.
