Please Help the Kihe’s rebuild their home
Aloha,
My name is Pi’ikea Kihe and I’m making a call out to who ever can kōkua in raising funds for my son and his family to rebuild his childhood home. This is a part of Hawaiian homes land that was granted to his grandfather and his home was built from the ground up by his father. Hawaiian homesteaders are hard working families who value what they have built. They do what they can with what they have and make the most out of it. Their hearts are huge and they always lend a helping hand. On Saturday July 31, 2021 a massive brushfire broke out in the Pu’ukapu area above Waimea. With high winds this fire spread quickly over the land and onto my sons property. Joshua and his brother Waylon did everything that they could to save their home, Despite their hardest efforts, their home was demolished right in front of their eyes. We are blessed and grateful that everyone is safe, but are left to pick up the pieces and rebuild our lives. Please help us to raise money for Joshua, Brandy and their young children. We appreciate any and all donations. We are a strong people, we are a resilient people, and we will rebuild our foundation and create new memories.
