Hi guys! My name is Brandee,
and I have four amazing nephews who all are such sweet lil guys! My second youngest nephew, Jeremiah was born with a restricted airway, which is making life a little more difficult for him as he gets older. He is facing a massive surgery coming up in November and his parents, My brother Jeremy Lilly and my sister in law, Joelle Lilly will need all the help they can get. He has been diagnosed with the following: Laryngomalacia, tracheomalacia, bronchomalacia, subglottic stenosis, reactive airway disease, and oropharyngeal dysphagia.
The surgery he's having is a laryngotracheal reconstruction using cartilage from his ribs. This is a more in depth one than when he was 15 months. They have to open both the front and back. His airway has not grown at all since his surgery at 15 months. Jeremy and Joelle will be in Seattle a minimum of 2 weeks. He will be in the ICU for a minimum of 1 week on the ventilator and feeding tube. He will have a second procedure before his breathing tube can come out and then another procedure 4-6 weeks after the initial surgery. Jeremy does not qualify for FMLA due to not being with the same employer for a year. Even if its a dollar, or if you can't afford to donate, prayers, thoughts and good vibes will be much appreciated! Thank you for reading this and considering helping my brothers family during this already stressful time, adding a major surgery to it just makes it all the more difficult.
