Please Help the Loughrey Family in Their Time of Need

Hi there,
My name is Richelle Hextall, I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart to rally support for my beautiful family, the Loughrey family from the Sunshine Coast. Adam, my beloved brother, and a devoted husband and father of four beautiful children, has recently been diagnosed with an aggressive terminal Glioblastoma (GBM) brain tumour. This devastating news has shattered our world.

Glioblastoma (GBM) is a highly aggressive form of brain cancer that starts in the brain's glial cells. It grows rapidly and invades healthy brain tissue, making it extremely difficult to treat. Unfortunately, Adam's condition is too advanced for surgery, as advised by his neurology and neurosurgery team. The tumour's location and size make it inoperable, leaving Adam with limited treatment options.

Adam has dedicated his life to serving others. Previously working in the NSW Police and is an Australian Army veteran. He has bravely served his country, onshore and doing active duty in Iraq. His commitment to public service didn't stop there; he also pursued his passion for flying, becoming an accomplished pilot, and mentoring young cadets at the Air Force Cadets Caloundra Squadron. Adam's selflessness and dedication has touched countless lives, inspiring many through his mentorship and community involvement.

Now, due to his illness, Adam can no longer work, and his loving wife Vicky has become his full-time carer, putting immense strain on their family both financially and emotionally.

The financial burden on the Loughrey family has been overwhelming. Adam was the main income earner, and his inability to work has left the family struggling to make ends meet. All funds raised will help cover essential bills and replace their broken home air conditioner, which is crucial for Adam's comfort during the scorching summer months. The heat exacerbates his brain swelling, making it even more difficult for him to find peace in his final days.

Adam will soon begin chemotherapy and radiation therapy to try and stop the spread of the tumour. While these treatments may extend his life, they will not reduce the tumour. Doctors have given Adam a prognosis of 1 to 6 months but unfortunately his health has deteriorated significantly even in the past 2 weeks.

This Christmas will be Adam's last with his family, and we want to make it as special and memorable as possible. Your financial support will ease the family's stresses, allowing them to focus on creating a peaceful and loving holiday season for Adam, Vicky and their children, Keyarah, Kora, Blake, and Emily. With your help, they can fill this time with cherished moments and lasting memories.

Adam's children are struggling to cope with the heartbreaking reality of losing their father. They need your support to ensure their home remains a place of comfort and love during this incredibly challenging time.

Please consider donating to help the Loughrey family. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference. Your generosity will provide much-needed relief and allow Adam to spend his remaining days in comfort, surrounded by his loved ones.

Thank you for your kindness and compassion.

Richelle Hextall on behalf of the Loughrey Family.
