Please help the McCue Family after sudden loss.

My name is Christa McCue and I am fundraising for my brother-in-law, Robert McCue and my niece, Lorilai. Last week they lost a wife and mother very suddenly to Covid-19 and injuries from a car accident.

Kelly McCue, 47, stay-at-home mother of Lorilai, was the loving heart of her family. She was a warm and generous person who loved sharing pictures of her cats and of her husband and her daughter on Facebook. She was so proud of her little girl, who is seven and had just gone back to school a few days before her death.

On Tuesday August 17, Kelly was involved in an head-on collision, cracking her sternum and causing injuries to her leg and ankle. At North Georgia Medical Center, she tested positive for Covid-19, but after treatment and observation, she was allowed to return home on Wednesday, August 18. She was in a lot of pain, and having difficulty with her breathing and circulation. Late Wednesday night they had to call an ambulance to take her back to the hospital. Her condition rapidly declined due to multiple blood clots throughout her system, and by nine a.m. Thursday morning, she was gone.

Her family is still in shock and not sure how much they will end up owing in medical bills or funeral expenses, or how they are going to move forward with their lives. Robert is currently the manager of a restaurant in Dahlonega, GA, and though he enjoys his job, the hours are long and often very late. He wants to find a different job so as to spend more time with his little girl. Lorilai is going to need her daddy around more.
