Please Help The PIT Gym

If you know me you know 1 thing I hate doing is asking for help.
It's time for me to put that aside and do something I really don't want to do.

After several fruitless efforts, it has become clear that true small businesses are NOT even considered for the bailouts created by the Government. The PIT Gym being one of the non eligible businesses.

For those who may not know me or my story. My name is Gina, I have been working in the Fitness Industry over 10 years, always in commercial settings. In 2018 I decided I had had enough of corporate nonsense and I would start my journey of creating something bigger and better. My vision was simple, build something so amazing they can't NOT want to come. At 33 years old, on my own, I started the process of building The PIT Gym. I worked full time, managing the gym I was working at, while taking nights and days off to drive all over NJ collecting equipment, painting, building, cleaning, and molding The PIT into what it is. On May 31, 2019 I left my full time job and got ready to open The PIT. No fall back plan, no more paychecks, no partner, just a wish, a prayer, and what I hoped would be a BAD ASS GYM. We opened our doors on June 7, 2019 and up until being forced to close on March 16, 2020 I could not have asked for a more amazing first year.

In just 6 months we had already hosted 7 AMAZING events, 2 of which were for charity. We were gearing up for numbers 8 and 9 in April, but unfortunately they needed to be postponed/cancelled. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd be closing out 2019 (only 6 months into being open) with over 300 members.

I can't say enough about the amazing community that has been built within those walls. The support that my members give to me and each other is unlike anything I've ever experienced before. The community being built far supersedes anything I hoped for and I am beyond grateful. There will never be enough words to show my gratitude and appreciation for every single person that has helped play a role in making this dream a reality. Unfortunately, I have to ask for a little more support.

As soon as I found out I had to close for the foreseeable future, I froze all memberships; I do not believe someone should be paying for something they cannot use. However, that rule of thumb does not apply to bills, nor does it apply to Government taxes, even though they feel they don't need to help. I am doing everything in my power to ensure I can reopen those doors as soon as I am given the OK, but to do so, I am going to need a little bit of help. I know I am not the only person going through hardships at this time, but ANYTHING is helpful at this point.

Again, I can't thank all of you enough for everything you have done for me thus far. I just hope I can continue giving you something amazing when this is all over.
