Please help the Schmidt family after a fire

On August 1st the Schmidt family suffered a devastating house fire caused by a contractor's mistake. At the time of the fire, Myra, daughter Victorya, and the family dog Sampson were in the home. It was not until flames were shooting out that the family and the contractor realized a fire started. Myra and Victorya made it out of the house safely, but Myra re-entered the house to rescue Sampson. From this, Myra suffered smoke inhalation and received medical treatment at a local hospital. Husband, Robert was notified at work and quickly met up with his family. Due to the severity of the fire, the home is a total loss and all possessions were destroyed. The family is heart broken. Insurance will help them rebuild their lives, but that takes time and doesn't heal the feelings of loss and devastation.

The Schmidt’s will need our help more than ever while they sort out rebuilding a home and navigating this tragedy. We are incredibly lucky the Schmidt family is safe.
