Please help the Taft Robotics Team

Hi ! My name is Angela Fusca and I am Aidan's mom. Aidan is on the Robotics Team for Taft High School. They have a very small team (approximately 15 students) of creative and dedicated students who have a strong desire to compete and win at tournaments as well as design and implement machines that can make a significant difference in the world one day. Whether it be in the medical field or manufacturing they are always working hard to build the best robot they can with what components they can afford.

Unfortunately they go up against schools that have three times as many students on the teams with so much more financial resources than they do. Even though the cards are always stacked against them they have won 1st Place in The San Antonio B.E.S.T Robotics

Competition in both 2023 and 2024. The team is currently on course to attending the big State competition and will find out this weekend if they made it. Sadly they do not seem to get the same recognition and the financial support that the Sports teams do. Taft's Robotics team mentors put in countless hours supervising and encouraging the kids and have even been using their own money to help them pay for parts. The kids are hoping to get some wheels for their robot that can swivel around like most of the other teams have . It is sad because the programming on their robot is stellar and the design is super impressive ...they are just struggling because the wheels really slow them down. They are hoping to get swerve modules which can help the robot move much more swiftly and quickly...These kids put in soooo many hours working on these robots for competitions. I am Hoping with this fundraiser we can help a group of very dedicated kids achieve their dream of building the robot they deserve!!! Any little bit helps!!!
