Please help the Thiessen family

This fundraiser is to help my cousin, Kristy Theissen, and her family. The following is put together from several of her updates over the last couple of weeks. Thank you for taking the time to read this and if you can please help. All donations will be greatly appreciated ❤️

June 8 was a Wednesday like any other. Morgan went to school. At 3 p.m she started to feel sick. It was just a fever and nothing else. The next morning she said she felt fine but her mother, Kristy, was concerned about her breathing. It was a little fast and shallow. She decided to take Morgan to the Olds hospital expecting Morgan would be given antibiotics and sent home.

After Morgan was seen by the doctor, the decision was made to move her to the Calgary Children's Hospital ASAP via STARS ambulance. Upon arrival, she was admitted to ICU and put on a ventilator due to extremely low oxygen levels. On June 13, she was diagnosed with human metapneumovirus, rhinovirus and 2 types of staphylococcus. She will be hospitalized for an undetermined amount of time.

Morgan is slowly making progress. On June 14, she was removed from the ventilator. She meets with physiotherapists to help her to stand. On June 21, she had a CT scan. Her family was informed she will require surgery to drain fluid from her lungs. She received her surgery today and it was successful.

Kristy and her husband Dennis are going to be at the hospital for at least another week, depending on the healing process post operation. Due to covid restrictions, there is no access to any sort of kitchen, microwave or fridge. They buy all their food at the cafeteria or the Save On foods nearby. They no longer have access to a room close by because rooms are very limited due to high demand.

Morgan's parents, Dennis and Kristy Thiessen, have been at her side through this whole ordeal. I can't even imagine what this family is going through.
