Please help this trans woman of color find shelter

My friend's adoptive family has recently discovered that she is transgender, and as a result, they have disowned her and locked her out of her bank account.

As both a trans woman and a woman of color, she is in an especially vulnerable position in her local area in the south. If she were to end up living on the street, she would be at an especially high risk of experiencing violence or worse. We are trying to raise enough money to move her to a safer area and create a more stable financial position for herself.

I am asking for assistance from the broader community to help her raise the money needed to help her get started in securing such a situation for herself. If she can't find a temporary place to live, then she will need enough money to cover a few months' worth of rent and basic necessities. Since she has no personal means of transportation, she will need help in covering the costs for that as well.

Community support is important for everyone, but especially for anyone in a vulnerable position like hers. I greatly appreciate any help you can provide. Your donations will help her not only to live, but to be safe and happy, and to pay it forward someday.
