Please help three women recover after devastating robbery

On September 08, 2024 eight Wendell Honey temporary foreign workers boarded a plane to return to their homes in Mexico. Three of those eight were women (Isa, Jacque & Monse) from a small city in the state of Veracruz.

When these women arrived in the Mexico City airport they hired a van and a driver to deliver them and their belongings to their city. Fortunately, the women managed to make it home BUT unfortunately, their belongs did not.

The van was stopped on the highway and the women were

robbed at gunpoint. The thieves took all of their luggage, all of their cash, their cell phones and one woman’s passport. On arriving home one of the women discovered that the thieves

retrieved her personal information from her cell phone and used it to empty her bank account.

Our foreign workers leave their families, their friends and their businesses and travel to a foreign country in an effort to provide a better standard of living for themselves and their families. For these three women, the fruits of their labour and their dreams of making the lives of their families a little easier were taken from them in a few tense and terrifying minutes. They have worked hard and saved money for 4 months only to return home with fewer resources than they had when they left Mexico in the late spring.
